Candace has been a professor of English Composition at the university level for years. In addition to her classroom teaching, she also provides students with additional help as a volunteer in the writing lab. Her mission is to help students become proficient writers because she understands the critical nature of this skill no matter what career choice a student may make.

With her background and experience, she is able to review students’ essays and statements and make recommendations for improvements that will highlight their strengths and talents and set them above the other candidates. She works with high-school students in the creation of their Common Application or other required essays, both for admissions and scholarships a well as with college seniors in the preparation of their essays and personal statements. 

For each client, Candice holds discussions about their backgrounds and experiences that are not a part of their academic credentials and then recommends those items that should be the focus of their essays. Once those essays are composed, she reviews them, makes suggestions for enhancements, and provides full grammatical editing. In the end, her clients have polished and compelling pieces of writing that will make them memorable.
